Wilco are one of my fav bands! As was their predecessor, Uncle Tupelo. Jeff Tweedy was the one of the main artists in both bands. Jay Farrar so traded vocal duties in Uncle Tupelo went off to form Son Volt. Tweedy came back with one of the most influential Alt country bands ever in WILCO. Many would argue of the origins of Alt. Country and who started the movement.  Many music historians will credit The Flying Burrito Brothers with that moniker. We here at Coolwalls know it was Uncle Tupelo who truly launched Alt Country into the world. Bring on the debates.
