An original 1974 linen backed U.S theatrical poster for the film Chinatown, an American neo-noir mystery film directed by Roman Polanski from a screenplay by Robert Towne, starring Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway.  This group of artists genius's were given relatively large budgets, and a fair amount of artistic freedom, and allowed to go and make the movies they wanted. This is one of the true great masterpieces of the 70's.  The film received 11 Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, Best Director for Polanski, Best Actor for Nicholson, and Best Actress for Dunaway. Robert Towne won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
The artwork  by Jim Pearsall is also one of the coolest movie posters of all-time. A real collectors treasure.
