An ultra rare original Italian locandina movie poster for the 1968 theatrical release  Sword of Doom, a 1966 Japanese samurai revenge film - Dai-bosatsu toge (released in the U.S. as "Sword of Doom") and in other English-speaking countries as "Killer Samurai"). Its about Ryunosuke Tsukue (Tatsuya Nakadai) a samurai and master swordsman. He's a government assassin in feudal Japan who has no remorse and no moral code. His father is unfairly killed by a brutal gang, and he leaves school and one by one, he kills every member of the gang) starring Tatsuya Nakadai, Toshiro

Mifune. Note that this movie has an abrupt ending because it was intended to be the first of at least a trilogy of movies (it is based on a legendary 41 volume single novel!), but no sequels were made.

Sword of Doom (1968)

£175.00Price
  • Small (70cm x 33cm) Italian locandina

  • Good condition. Folded as issued with three faint horizontal folds from being stored with other locandinas. Some edge wear/crease on the left side. There is a glue-like sheen and stripped edges, which are common features resulting from the historical method of wheat-pasting and their hasty removal from movie theatre display boards. This distinctive appearance is not a defect but a sign of its authentic past as working movie advertisement art.

Note:
The picture you see is of the actual poster you are buying.
The metal magents on each corner are to hold the poster on the wall. They are not part of your purchase.
