This is not a reproduction or reprint. This is an original poster that was meant to be displayed outside a cinema or in a lobby somewhere in the world. Some of these posters are limited runs, signed, stickered or a super rare style. Some carry the scars of being well loved, either way it will look great on your wall.

ADSKI 7.png

A very rare original 1979 theatrical U.S poster for The Shining, an Amercian psychological horror film produced and directed by the legend Stanley Kubrick. The film is based on Stephen King's 1977 novel of the same name and stars Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Scatman Crothers, and Danny Lloyd.

This advanced poster was intended to tease the film before its release. It was printed in 1979 before the actual release of the film in 1980. These advance one sheets were printed in far fewer numbers and therfore much more scarce. This iconic design is by another legend, Saul Bass  (Vertigo, Man With The Golden Arm). Originally Saul Bass created the poster in bright red, but Stanley changed it to this bright canary yellow.
