A rare 1973 theatrical release U.S. half-sheet poster for Wattstax. It's a concert film with documentary element from the 1972 Los Angeles Coliseum. Its captures the performances of the Watts Summer Festival, organized by legendary Stax Records. The festival is a gathering of musicians and entertainers from the black community, brought together to remember the Watts Riots from seven years prior. Key performances include those of comedian Richard Pryor, and singers Isaac Hayes and Luther Ingram. These half sheet posters were printed in much fewer numbers the standard one-sheet sizes and are a favourite with collectors as they were printed on harder stock and smaller in size.
