An original 1965 Italian Locandina poster for the release of Ayako - An innocent Witch, a Japanese drama film directed by Heinosuke Gosho, about Ayako, a young woman from a rural fishing village, who is sold by her family into a brothel when her father takes ill. There, she is quickly stripped of her innocence and illusions.

    Good condition. Horizontal fold as issued. Small staple holes in just outside the boarder design. The poster has a tax stamp  on the right side. It was common practice for Belgian and Italian posters of this period to be  stamp on the front, so that the authorities could easily tell if the local cinema had paid its taxes for the film. A characteristic of its authenticity and use outside the theatre to advertise the film.
