An original vintage 1964 Australian daybill poster for Its A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, an American comedy produced and directed by Stanley Kramer with a screenplay by William Rose and Tania Rose. The story begins during a massive traffic jam, caused by reckless driver Smiler Grogan (Jimmy Durante), who, before kicking the bucket, cryptically tells the assembled drivers that he's buried a fortune in stolen loot, under the Big W. All of the motorists set out to find the fortune.
This simple graphic artwork is by American legend graphic designer Saul Bass (Vertigo, The Shinning, Exodus, Man With The Golden Arm, Anatomy Of Murder).
