An original 1973 UK Quad poster for The Day of the Dolphin, an American science-fiction thriller film directed by Mike Nichols and starring George C. Scott. The story is about Dr.Jake Terrell who trains his dolphins to speak and understand English, but when his dolphins get lost, he learns that they are going to be assassinated and he decides to save them at any cost.

This poster brings a smile to my face every time I look at it. Great imagery and design for a ridiculous sounding movie. The artist Tom Yung (Star Wars) did the orginal design for the style A U.S. release, but I think this one is much stronger and more visually engaging. Its also much harder to find.
