An original 1987 theatrical UK quad movie poster for Full Metal Jacket, directed by Stanley Kubrick. Its a British-American war film starring Matthew Modine, R. Lee Ermey, Vincent D'Onofrio and Adam Baldwin. Even though this was a Vietnam war film, it was shot in the UK: Cambridgeshire, on the Norfolk Broads, and at the former Millennium Mills, Beckton Gas Works, Newham (east London) and the Isle of Dogs. Although Kubrick once held a pilot's license, some have claimed that he later developed a fear of flying and refused to take airplane trips, which made filming abroad difficult.
