This is not a reproduction or reprint. This is an original poster that was meant to be displayed outside a cinema or in a lobby somewhere in the world. Some of these posters are limited runs, signed, stickered or a super rare style. Some carry the scars of being well loved, either way it will look great on your wall.

An original 1979 Japanese movie poster for the cult film The Warriors, an American action thriller film directed by Walter Hill. It's about a New York gang called the Warriors who are trying to get back to their home turf in Coney Island in Brooklyn, after they are framed for the murder of a respected gang leader.

For me growing up, this film was the epitome of cool, The Wanderers comes a close second. I remember hearing stories of vandalism and violence, when it was first released, which I thought was crazy that a film could create such a reaction. The stories turned out to be true. Paramount temporarily halted their advertising campaign and released theatre owners from their obligation to show the film. Despite its initially negative reception, The Warriors has since reached cult status - for me anyway.
