This is not a reproduction or reprint. This is an original poster that was meant to be displayed outside a cinema or in a lobby somewhere in the world. Some of these posters are limited runs, signed, stickered or a super rare style. Some carry the scars of being well loved, either way it will look great on your wall.

An original 1973 U.S one sheet poster for the theatrical release of Trick Baby, an American Blaxploitation film directed by Larry Yust and starring Kiel Martin and Mel Stewart. This crime-drama is based on a 1967 best selling novel by legendary pimp turned author - Iceberg Slim.

This isn't your standard pimp hustler, jive talkin, mack daddy pimp story, but rather a smart, character based crime flick about two hustlers just trying to survive in the big city.  The son of a black prostitute and a white client, Johnny "Folks" O'Brien (Kiel Martin) spends his childhood in the ghetto hearing the hateful name "trick baby," only to realize as an adult just how useful it is to pass for white. Together with his mentor, con man "Blue" Howard (Mel Stewart), Folks succeeds in ripping off many of Philadelphia's wealthy whites with a clever diamond scam.

The artwork for this poster is so cool. I wish I knew who was the artist.

  • SIZE

    Large (27" x 41") U.S one sheet

Very good condition. Some minor wear in central folds. On the left and right side edges of central fold, it looks like some tape may have been previously stuck there. Its has lifted away a very thin layer of paper, but this is on the edges and not distracting. Folded as issued.

The picture you see is of the actual poster you are buying.
The metal magents on each corner are to hold the poster on the wall. They are not part of your purchase.
